　　1、說明書的文體特征與翻譯目標(biāo)從遣詞造句方面來看，說明書頻繁使用祈使句、無人稱句，十分講究邏輯性。從語氣上看，說明書的語氣通常較為正式，用語嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)規(guī)范、客觀公允。從修辭角度來說，說明書文風(fēng)一般比較質(zhì)樸，避免鋪敘婉曲，特別是很少使用不必要的修辭格。鑒于說明書的語言特點(diǎn)和翻譯目標(biāo)，我們以為好的說明書譯文不僅要準(zhǔn)確、客觀，還必須保證能為譯語讀者所接受并激發(fā)他們的購買行為。

　　2、“忠實(shí)、準(zhǔn)確”原則說明書是溝通廠家與消費(fèi)者的橋梁和紐帶。企業(yè)若想在激烈的國際競爭中站穩(wěn)腳跟，將產(chǎn)品成功地打入國際市場，譯文必須準(zhǔn)確、真實(shí)。倘若譯文“失真”或錯(cuò)誤百出，不僅會給消費(fèi)者留下極壞的印象，而且會直接影響到產(chǎn)品的形象與銷售。更為嚴(yán)重的是，那些劣質(zhì)的譯文還可能影響到正常的生產(chǎn)秩序，甚至危及消費(fèi)者的生命與財(cái)產(chǎn)安全。要做到譯文“忠實(shí)”、“準(zhǔn)確”，首先要在遣詞造句方面加以注意。說明書的語言一般大都簡潔淺顯、明白曉暢，譯者在處理其中的語詞時(shí)并無多大困難。不過，這并不意味著說明書的翻譯就高枕無憂。

　　3、“可讀性”原則，產(chǎn)品說明書有時(shí)肩負(fù)著比廣告更重要的使命，說明書離消費(fèi)者更近，其表述對消費(fèi)者購買產(chǎn)品與否會有更為直接地影響。譯者在翻譯前，必須首先對說明書原文中所包含的信息進(jìn)行分析，尤其是要剖析各類信息的可傳達(dá)度和讀者可能的接受反應(yīng)情況，然后再采取相應(yīng)的翻譯方法和策略，以確保譯文的可讀性。
